Greenday, U2 and Placebo win big at MTV EMA’s

Last night saw Katy Perry host the 2009 MTV EMA’s in Berlin, with Linkin Park, Placebo, Greenday and U2 all walking away with shiny awards.
3 piece Greenday were presented with Best Rock Act, beating competion from Foo Fighters, Linkin Park and Kings Of Leon in the process while Placebo were hailed Best Alternative Act.
Performances on the night came from Jay Z, Greenday and Foo Fighters.
